I hope everyone is enyoing the TBR Double Dog Dare so far. With just under a week under our belts I've already read five books from my TBR pile. I confess, I started a little early.
This week, I saw someone mention that they are reading books in alphabetical order by title. I think it was a reading challenge. I took a look at myTBR stack and wondered could I pull it off with just books I own. So I set myself to task looking through my TBR stack for titles starting with each letter of the alphabet. Don't think this was a chore at all; those of us with very large TBR stacks can tell you that half the fun of having one is going through it. I came pretty close to pulling it off, too.
Here's my list:

Given the ridiculous number of TBR books on my shelves, I'm sure I could - and you've already got me making a list!
Oh good, something to do instead of the laundry I've been putting off for ages! Books are way more interesting to sort than socks. I've got two read so far!
I'm certain I could do this easily, considering that I will never ever read everything I have on my shelves. But you are a more disciplined person than I. I am all over the place, and I love it.
I checked my "owned and unread" list on Goodreads. I could easily do this except for X and Z. . . I'd have to think of something clever to include those. It will give me something to ponder today while I'm at work.
I really enjoyed the story of The Angry Buddhist, but oh dear, Europa Editions must have let go all of its copyediting staff. Very disappointing on that front. I almost bought a copy, marked it up, and sent it with a bill to the publisher.
Gee, I did A-Z title last year and was successful. Now doing A-Z for authors. Next year, I may do locations. What is good about this is that you tackle some books in your TBR pile that you might otherwise shy away from.
Very clever! Since I have failed miserably at all reading challenges in the past I have decided to forego any in 2013. I will however to continue to plod through my tub of cozy mysteries. Hmmm....I wonder if I could do an alphabetical order of those?
The spirit is willing, but the flesh is weak. I started the year off with two from my shelves, but number 3 is an ARC to be published next month - although I did receive it on December 24, so technically I might still be in the hunt. Won't last, though, I know that already.
Grendal is on my reading list too though I am a little scared to read it. ;-)
What a fun little twist!
I've picked mine by genre, specifically Martin Cruz Smith's Russian thrillers featuring Arkady Renko. I've read liitle though...so many distractions...
I had a proper go at this last week and did a blog post with my pile - thanks for the inspiration!!!
