Usually, I select the books for Dakota's Favorites. I pick a review from the archive here at Ready When You Are, C.B. featuring a book I enjoyed enough to recommend not once but twice. Today, though, I thought I'd go with a book that Dakota enjoyed much more than I did.
Here's the little video we made for Neil Gaimon's, The Graveyard Book back in 2009.

That is hilarious. But Dakota is so innocent-looking...maybe you have gremlins? Or tribbles?
Oh no! Is it bad that half of me was horrified at the destruction of the book and half of me thought it was hilarious because Dakota is adorable? My dog, (who's middle name is also Dakota... I know, dogs shouldn't have middle names), likes to lick the books I'm reading. Luckily he hasn't destroyed one yet.
I feel lucky that Lexi isn't at all interested in books. The babe, however, wants to put EVERYTHING in her mouth and has just enough teeth to do some damage.
I saw a movie preview the other day and was convinced it was going to be an adaptation of this book. Was disappointed when it wasn't (though I haven't read the book yet).
Amy, Nope, she ate it. She used to each a book every month or so. It was a regular feature here. She hasn't eaten one in almost a year now.
Melissa, Licking would have been better. I did go ahead and read The Graveyard Book. Fortunately, Dakota didn't eat the actual words.
Trish, I thought the books was a B+ effort, myself. But I've long believed that B+ books make the best movies.
