I picked up a great Auster from you this way last year. Loved it. Love this idea. Just might steal it. Night Train to Lisbon, please? Many thanks.

Well, I'm sure I won't be the last to pick the John Aadams book, but at least I'm the first... lol. I've been meaning to pick up a copy for at least a year now, but have yet to go to the store and buy it... I don't think I've actually added it to my BM or PBS wishlists, even.

Culling the TBR pile... hmmm.. interesting concept, but I've got like 3 bookshelves, two deep, with just TBR books.

Salmon Fishing in the Yemen: A Novel is my first choice. The title is intriguing - salmon fishing in the desert? Huh? If that one is taken, the one about tigers will do as second choice. Also intriguing.

thanks! Nice of you.

I got excited there for a minute when I thought you were giving away The Book of Lost Things! haha Anyway, I too will throw my name in the hat for John Adams. Thanks James!

The last thing I need is another book for my own stack C.B. (added at least a dozen in the last two weeks) but I have to admire your ingenuity in culling your own stack. I hate to admit how many TBR books I've held onto for well over two years, however...

I would love to try "Night Train to Lisbon". Good luck with that huge TBR stack. It sure does make me feel better about mine.

I would love to get The Skies of Pern by Anne McCaffrey. It is one of the few Pern books that I don't own (although I have read it before). The Pern books are some of the only books that I will re-read over and over.

I was going to throw my hat in the ring for Night Train to Lisbon also, but I see that someone else wants it too, and I don't want to be greedy, so I'll just stick to the Anne McCaffrey book.

Frances, Please, steal away. Most of my best ideas started life as someone else's idea... ;-)

koolaidmom, You're in for John Adams. I have three shelves of TBR books but only one is two deep.

Book bird dog, I think I can get at least one book off to you.

Sandy, I've only had The Book of Lost Things for about a year. Maybe in Dec. 2010.

Sam, I know how you feel. To be honest some of the books in my TBR stack have been in there well over two years.

English Teacher, You're in the running for Night Train.

Alyce, Gald to pass on a Pern book to a devoted fan.

I honestly don't need any more books...well, at least not today. I just wanted to tell you how much I love this idea.

I've enough books in my own TBR, so I'm not looking for another - I just popped in to say that I like your idea of 2 years unread = the boot. I might consider that at the end of 2010 if I'm still forcing a few clunkers upon my list.

Could I be put in the running for both Salmon Fishing in the Yemen and Oracle Night?

Thanks for this giveaway! =)
